Halal Frozen Food around Singapore

Beef chunks grande - Halal Frozen Food around Singapore

You may have seen some chicken rice shops that are listed as halal, these shops would cater to the Muslim population of Singapore, however all can come and eat there. About 14 percent of Singapore’s population is Muslim, so, it would make sense for there to be a number of halal restaurants on the island. Some restaurants would have dedicated halal suppliers for example, a halal steakhouse might supply their lamb or beef from a halal certified farm in New Zealand or a local halal Chicken Rice stall would use a halal chicken supplier Singapore has around. Though becareful, some of them may be harmful to your liver.

But what is halal? Allow me to explain. Halal derives from its Arabic word which translates to ‘permissible’. When a food product is listed as halal, it means that there are no traces of pork whatsoever in that product and that if there is any meat in there, the animal for that meat has been slaughtered in accordance with Islamic guidelines and rules. This usually involves prayer in submission to God before the animal is slaughtered.

That should be the basics, so now you understand what halal is!

Here are some awesome halal restaurants you can check out in Singapore:
